Was working on a late shift today and didn't manage any poker before work as I was a bit tired from last nights exploits in the pub poker and subsequent 'some blokes house' poker after that.
Only got home at one on Saturday morning so made a coffee and logged onto Betfair poker for a game, was pleasantly surprised to see my name on a different Betfair account on the Betfair poker leaderboard for medium fixed limit cash games in 2nd place for this month! Then again, this statistic stands at the 3rd day of the month but it's nice to see it up in lights, hopefully it will still be somewhere on the leaderboard at the end of the month although I wouldn't be putting the mortgage on it! Played two tables and made $57 which I was very happy with in a short space of time. Made the money from slow playing trip Aces against a guy who raised pre flop and in my opinion was putting in continuation bets as he couldn't lay down his hand. Also won a nice pot of $45 when my 4,5 made two pair on a flop of 4,5,6 diamonds. Thought I was stuffed but kept calling expecting to be beaten by a flush or a straight but my 2 pair were good, held up and after that I called it a day.
Nothing else of much interest, working the next 6 days on the bounce and then it's 3 days off on the trot so hoping to empty the pockets of a few players then.
